NWIN - Objectives
The principal objective is to provide platforms for interaction between its members and regional government organisations, principally the North West Development Agency. This is to ensure that the Agency is well aware of the Members' activities and plans and, conversely, that the Members know of the Agency's programmes and priorities in areas relevant to them. More specifically, the Network will:
- Provide a forum for its members for the interchange of ideas and experience, both through attending Network meetings and by informal contact.
- Offer a central information exchange between Members and the NWDA to:
- Facilitate dissemination of information.
- Allow the Agency to develop its innovation policies and strategies together with the practitioners of innovation centres.
- Optimise the enactment of its strategies in a coherent, well-understood manner.
- Lobby the Agency for support on appropriate specific projects which are in accord with the Agency’s strategies.
- Co-ordinate agreed activities on behalf of its members
